Yurav Premlall produced a dominant display to win his first DP World Tour title at the 2026 Estrella Damm Catalunya Championship by 14 shots. The 22-year-old South African began Sunday with a five-shot lead after a course-record 63 and quickly extended it, carding six front-nine birdies to lead by 12 at the turn.
Further birdies on the 12th and 13th stretched his advantage to 14, briefly threatening Tiger Woods’ 15-shot record margin. A bogey on 14 ended that chase, but late birdies sealed a 28-under total and a record margin for a maiden win. The victory lifts Premlall from 157th to 26th in the Race to Dubai rankings.
Fellow South African Shaun Norris finished second at 14 under. Emotional after his breakthrough, Premlall credited his family and team, calling the win a dream come true after months of struggle.
