Rory McIlroy, the world's number two golfer, has shared the much-anticipated menu for his Masters Champions Dinner, inspired by last year's triumph at Augusta. Known for clinching the career Grand Slam, McIlroy's culinary choices reflect both his heritage and victory.
For appetizers, guests will enjoy a selection featuring dates with goat cheese wrapped in bacon, a specialty from McIlroy's mother, Rosie. The menu also includes peach and ricotta flatbread, rock shrimp tempura, and intriguing grilled elk sliders, a nod to his diet leading up to last year's Masters.
Main courses offer a choice between Wagyu filet mignon and seared salmon, paired with Irish champ, Brussels sprouts, glazed carrots, and crispy onion rings, drawing from local Vidalia ingredients.
It will be sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream for dessert. Of course every dish is paired with carefully curated wines, including a rare 1990 Chateau Lafite Rothschild and a 1989 Chateau D’Yquem dessert wine.
