Hyo Joo Kim surged into the LPGA record books at the Ford Championship after shooting her second 11-under 61 of the week to set the lowest 54-hole score in LPGA history at 25-under par, taking a four-shot lead. Kim produced a stunning back nine run of birdie-birdie-eagle-birdie and needed just 25 putts in her third round. Nelly Korda, who began the day with the lead, shot a bogey-free 67 but fell four shots behind heading into the final round. Lydia Ko and a group of players are a further five shots back, leaving the tournament likely a two-player battle between Kim and Korda. Kim, the defending champion and recent Founders Cup winner, will now chase the 72-hole LPGA scoring record in the final round.
