The six-time major champion is reportedly no longer a member at a California golf club following an internal investigation.
Phil Mickelson is reportedly no longer a member at The Farms Golf Club near San Diego after a female employee accused him of inappropriate physical contact.
According to Golf Digest, the alleged incident took place earlier this year inside the clubhouse. The employee later reported the matter to club management, prompting an internal investigation.
The report states that Mickelson was approached by club officials while playing a round and was asked to leave the property before completing his round.
In a statement, the club confirmed that a member had been removed following an investigation into reported misconduct, although it did not identify Mickelson by name. The club also reiterated its commitment to maintaining a safe and respectful environment for both staff and members.
A spokesperson for Mickelson declined to comment directly on the allegations but said that “any misunderstanding has been cleared up.”
Mickelson has not competed since earlier this year. In February, the 55-year-old announced he was stepping away from golf to deal with a family health matter, and there is currently no timeline for his return to competition.
