Michelle Wie West, the celebrated 2014 US Women's Open winner, has stepped into a new role as an ambassador and investor with the fledgling McLaren Golf company. This announcement comes hot on the heels of Justin Rose, the first professional player to align with the brand.
Wie, who intends to return to competitive golfing in 2026, is set to participate in two eagerly anticipated events. She will compete in the US Women's Open at the iconic Riviera Country Club, and also her own Mizuho Americas Open from May 7-10.
As she joins McLaren Golf, Wie will be wielding their clubs during her appearances, following her last performance in the 2023 US Women's Open at Pebble Beach.
Adding another dimension, Ian Poulter has been seen with McLaren Golf equipment, hinting at further interest among top players. The company, gearing up for their website launch on April 29, continues to accelerate its influence within the golf community.
