Returning to competitive golf after a three-year hiatus, Michelle Wie West found herself gripped by unexpected nerves during the Mizuho Americas Open. The seasoned golfer shot a challenging 10-over-par 82, marking her return to the LPGA Tour.
Wie West admitted that despite extensive preparation, the intensity of tournament pressure caught her off guard. "I felt great going in, but at the first tee, reality hit me hard," she shared. "The hole seemed impossibly small. My nerves were at an all-time high." With husband Jonnie by her side for support, she navigated the intense emotions of competitive play.
