Jim Furyk has been named U.S. Ryder Cup captain for 2027, marking his second time in the role as the event heads to Ireland.
Furyk previously captained the team in 2018, when the U.S. suffered a heavy loss to Europe, but returns with extensive experience in team golf, including a Presidents Cup win as captain in 2024.
He takes on a difficult task at Adare Manor, where he will try to stop Luke Donald from leading Europe to a third consecutive Ryder Cup victory — and end the U.S. team’s long drought on European soil.
