The Zurich Classic is set to stir excitement with a fresh pairing as Shane Lowry teams up with Brooks Koepka. The event, held at TPC Louisiana from April 23-26, is shaking up traditional partnerships. The McIlroy-Lowry duo has ended, paving the way for Lowry's new Srixon collaboration with Koepka.

Rory McIlroy, after finishing 12th alongside Lowry last year post-Masters, is focusing on recovery. Struggling with back issues, McIlroy's 2026 schedule is already seeing changes, notably excluding the Zurich Classic and Houston Open. This gives him three weeks off before the Masters, following his participation at The Players Championship.

"I'll see how my body feels," McIlroy mentioned, underscoring the importance of his practice and recovery protocol.

Meanwhile, defending champions, along with Danish twins Nicolai and Rasmus Hojgaard, who were runners-up last year, are confirmed for the event. As anticipation builds, the Zurich Classic promises gripping performances.
