Collin Morikawa has withdrawn from the Valero Texas Open and has not played since he pulled out of THE PLAYERS Championship after one hole due to back spasms. He injured his back during a practice swing at TPC Sawgrass and is still experiencing effects from the injury, according to the PGA TOUR. The withdrawal raises doubts about his participation in the upcoming Masters, although he remains in the field for now. Earlier this year, Morikawa won the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and recorded strong finishes at The Genesis Invitational and the Arnold Palmer Invitational. He has an impressive Masters record with four consecutive top-15 finishes, including a tied third place in 2024.
