Eugenio Chacarra moved closer to a successful title defence at the Hero Indian Open after a third-round 70 gave him a four-shot lead at ten under par at DLF G&CC. The Spaniard battled tough weekend conditions, making three birdies in a row around the turn to build his advantage despite late bogeys. MJ Daffue and Alex Fitzpatrick lead the chasing pack at six under, with Freddy Schott and David Law one shot further back. Fitzpatrick made a rare birdie at the difficult 14th, while Daffue stayed in contention with a birdie at the 17th. With the course proving challenging and scores hard to come by, Chacarra said patience would be key heading into the final round, with several players still in contention despite his four-shot lead.
