Big finish gives MacIntyre four-shot lead

Robert MacIntyre shot an 8-under 64 with four birdies in his final five holes to build a four-shot lead at the Valero Texas Open, using the event to prepare for the Masters. He eagled the par-5 14th and finished strongly with four close-range birdies to reach 14-under, four ahead of Ryder Cup teammate Ludvig Åberg, who shot 67 and made an eagle after holing out from 120 yards. Tony Finau, needing a win to reach the Masters, recovered from a poor start to shoot 69 and sits five shots back. First-round leader Mark Hubbard fell back after a 77 but still made the cut. MacIntyre is now in strong position heading into the weekend as he chases the title.
