Adrian Otaegui shot a brilliant 62 to take a one-shot lead at the 2026 Volvo China Open, reaching 16-under after starting five shots behind overnight leaders Bernd Wiesberger and Shaun Norris. Otaegui surged into contention with an eagle and four birdies on the front nine, then added further gains on the back nine, including a chip-in on 16, to set the clubhouse target.
Wiesberger briefly led but lost momentum late, dropping a shot at the 15th to finish one behind, while Norris fell back to 12-under after a level-par 71. Otaegui’s hot putting, including a run of consecutive birdies, proved decisive as he piled pressure on the leaders.
Behind them, Alejandro del Rey sits fourth at 11-under, with Antoine Rozner and Mikael Lindberg at 10-under after rounds of 65. With several players still in range, the tournament remains tightly contested heading into the final round.
