Adam Scott is officially set to compete in the U.S. Open 2026 at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club, marking his 100th consecutive major appearance.
The 45-year-old continues one of the most remarkable streaks in golf history. Only Jack Nicklaus has played more consecutive majors, with 146 straight starts between 1962 and 1998.
Scott secured his place after a tied-fourth finish at the Cadillac Championship at Doral and now sits 49th in the world rankings, comfortably inside the qualification cutoff.
“I’d rather win something and celebrate a U.S. Open victory than just play the tournament,” Scott recently said.
“But I can still give myself some credit for hanging in there and playing all these events.”
His streak began at The Open Championship in 2001 and has survived injuries and slumps along the way. Ahead of the 2008 U.S. Open, Scott even competed with a broken bone in his hand and still finished tied 26th. Five years later, he captured his first major title at the Masters Tournament 2013.
