PGA Championship 2026 takes place this week at Aronimink Golf Club outside Philadelphia. It marks the 108th edition of the championship and the first time since 1962 that the venue hosts the event.

A total of 14 former champions are included in this year’s field. Among them are defending champion and world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, along with multiple winners Brooks Koepka, Rory McIlroy and Justin Thomas.

Koepka has won the championship three times (2018, 2019 and 2023), while McIlroy and Thomas are both chasing a third Wanamaker Trophy.

Several former champions are absent this week, however. Tiger Woods, a four-time PGA Championship winner, is not in the field. Neither are Phil Mickelson, John Daly or Vijay Singh, despite all former winners receiving lifetime invitations to the championship.
